@ameliasahm03: omg ok so I need to talk about the first month home because NOBODY told me any of this and I genuinely thought I was doing everything wrong 😭 like they send you home from the hospital with this tiny human and a pamphlet and act like that's enough?? it is NOT enough lol the loneliness was the thing that caught me completely off guard. like I had my partner there, I had family checking in, and I still felt so alone it was scary. nobody tells you that you can be surrounded by people and still feel like you're completely invisible. like everyone is focused on the baby (rightfully so) and you're just standing there leaking and crying in the corner 💀 and the NIGHTS. ohhhh the nights. I was not prepared for what 3am actually feels like when you're alone in the dark feeding a baby and the whole world is asleep. it felt like time stopped moving. it was the most isolated I have ever felt in my life no exaggeration what actually helped me was finding Beacon bc I opened it one night at like 3:30am and saw hundreds of other moms also awake, also feeding, also just trying to get through it and I literally started crying bc I didn't feel alone anymore. like that was such a simple thing but it changed everything for me in that moment the crying for no reason thing too omg. I would cry at commercials. I would cry becuase I was tired. I would cry becuase I didn't know WHY I was crying and then I'd cry about that. turns out your body just went through absolute chaos and your hormones are doing their best ok 😭 if you are in your first month and you're reading this at some ungodly hour please know you are not broken. you are not doing it wrong. the first month is just survival and you are surviving it 🤍 save this for a bad night. send it to a friend who just had a baby. you are so not alone even when it feels like you are 💙 #mom #MomsofTikTok #momlife #momtok #baby
