@leahshomestead: A lot of people who struggle with chicken eggs say they tolerate duck eggs much better… and honestly I think that conversation is really interesting. Duck eggs are richer, higher in protein and healthy fats, incredible for baking, and a lot of people say they feel completely different after switching. And I also think what animals are fed matters more than people realize. A healthy animal raised outside foraging on bugs, grass, weeds, and sunlight is going to produce a different quality food than animals raised in confinement on heavily processed feed alone. Now obviously duck eggs are not magically allergy free and people with severe allergies should still be careful… but it’s interesting how many people notice a difference. The downside? Ducks are messy little swamp creatures 😂 But honestly I think they’re one of the most underrated homestead animals there is. #DuckEggs #Homesteading #BackyardDucks #RealFood #SelfSufficiency

both are great. I've also had quail eggs a little tedious cuz their size but they packed with so much nutrition I like no GMO food that they feed. good quality food great quality eggs all around.

I'm close to the city and I have 3 ducks. As long as you keep low numbers of them, and have a grassy lawn, don't let them have water next to bare earth that they can make duck soup with 🤣, they are much cleaner to keep than chickens and bathe in fresh water every day rather than taking dust baths. Only downside in my opinion is they don't put themselves to bed at night the way chickens do and can be a bit noisy.

I used to prefer duck eggs until mum cooked me one that should have thrown away I was very ill and just can’t eat them any more 🤦🏻‍♀️but they are nicer in my opinion xx
