:/ studied psychology for years have a couple of degrees, metacognition is essentially the ability to monitor and control your own thought process. This is more of a skill developed rather than a form of intelligence. You’re essentially just thinking about thinking. This has nothing to do with intellect itself and more to do with how we apply our intellect.

For people who aren’t cursed, yes I mean cursed with high intellectual ability, do not understand that while yes this is great sometimes, most of the time it is not. It is painful to think about every thought you have. I can’t NOT do it and it is debilitating to think constantly and I wish every day I could turn my brain off.
