You guys are completely misinterpreting what these movies were about when it comes to the political part. Snow wasn’t a literal Republican. Coin wasn’t a literal Democrat. One used technology to rule. The other mainly used military. The one flaw with both? They wanted too much power. They’re not reflecting a specific political party either. It’s reflecting ALL political parties.

For people in the comments confused, The moral here wasn’t “you can’t have a government without them being evil.” It was that any government that seeks to control its people rather than answer to them, that engages in propaganda and manipulation and does not practice transparency or have checks and balances has the potential to become corrupt. It’s important that there is no supreme leader and no ruling unelected party.
