@plumbingdoctors: 🚧 Had to hire out a larger NovoPress machine just to press this 54mm copper 😅 My jaws only go up to 35mm, so I thought this would be straightforward… but straight away I hit a problem 👎 The jaws need to clamp fully around the fitting, and because of the way the pipework is installed, the jaw won’t rotate round to face me 🤦‍♂️ Now I’ve got to undo all the clips and pull the manifold forward just to get the press on properly 🔧 This is the side of press fit nobody talks about 👀 You hear all the advantages… but here’s one of the disadvantages: ❌ Large bulky jaws ❌ Heavy fittings ❌ Tight access problems ❌ Doesn’t always work in situ Sometimes it’s a lot more fiddly than people think #pressfit #plumber #novopress #mpress #copper
