I know this may not be the point of the video.. but when I watch it, I am reminded that the little boy you loved is always there inside the man he becomes. The world will season his face, test his back and rattle his hands, but the kindred spirit of that same boy is still there with the same love, kindness and curiosity. Our job as parents is just to remind them of that.

You’re gonna love the next “version” of him too! I wish I could have my kids at every stage of their lives at the same time. They’re my best friends and the most cherished people in my heart. I miss who they used to be but also wouldn’t change who they are now. It’s so hard.
