Yeah idk I think when students and studios pay these competitions and part of the payment includes judges critiques, that means you biught those critiques. I think judges should understand the videos being posted is part of the risk

Solos are absolutely fair game to share but if there are other dancers, I think they should consent to those critiques being posted online. Judges should only be making comments that are appropriate for the dancers, which should be appropriate for others to view and listen to. I feel like it's buying a photo, once it's sent to you it's free for use

I believe that anything an adult says to a child should be appropriate and not embarrassing for the adult if it is posted online and if it’s considered controversial to post it. It could become a lager problem with inappropriate comments if they are not “ok” to share

I think it is good to share critiques that are problematic without calling out who the judge is. We can learn from that. A voice filter is a great strategy.

No I think you're absolutely right for this actually. Like, non-comp dancer here but even if she identified the dancers correctly, that's not even an attempt at a useful critique (as opposed to an incorrect comment about technique) and you're paying money for that. So that's a problem and I think you're right for calling her out for it, especially since you're keeping the actual judge anonymous. And because since it's not a true critique, I think there's little to no probability that any of your dancers would be embarrassed by you posting it either

it's not private if student wants share there public dance comp critique they can. judges just don't want to be held accountable

I think what you shared was fine. Just a funny mishap. As you said putting someone on blast is not cool but appropriate helpful feedback seems ok to me.

judges comments are a business transaction, I can do with them what I want. THAT BEING SAID, discretion is important. I'm not going to post a judge getting mad at head angles in ballet because that's different methology. I will post and email the competition directly when the comments are out of pocket and not needed
