It's not to do with generalised gender equality but more how men perceive other men. Having your masculinity removed, your core identity, that's the humiation. I'm sure most women would see humiliation in having their womanhood removed in the same way.

To some degree you cannot exclude Trans people from this argument, the term and it's usage in place of transgender in porn categories aswell as a big part of the world these days seeing trans people as a shameful taboo topic enjoy pretending to be part of that group. Which importantly jeopardises the safety of trans people as their status of sexual objects and taboo things gets reaffirmed.
