@dexterfrankenstein: Replying to @jimmy7519 is someone who can keep time without a clock. Are you neurodivergent and can you do this too? #neurodivergent #neurospicy #audhd #autism #milennials
It freaked my bf out that I'd often get up and head to the kitchen a few seconds before the timer went off. He asked how I did it and honestly I just feel like it's time; I don't have an inner countdown, just an alarm.

I'm gen xer and I get up right before the time goes off most of the time. I gotta set the timer otherwise I'll forget 🤣

I feel like I’m always aware of the time. like a race against time if that makes sense. I always know what time of day it is without a clock. Honestly don’t think I have a healthy relationship with time. The concept of time, days etc stresses me out.

For me it's alarm clocks. I don't use them and wake up at the same time every day. Unless I set an alarm. I will turn it off in my sleep and then keep on sleeping for half a day. I don't get it🤷🏾♀️

I can guess the time within a 20 minute window. Same with the timer in the comments. Im still late a lot. I still can't estimate the amount of time I need for a task. And I swear doing my makeup speeds up time.

I just inherently know the time. Or how much cash someone is holding, before they know. I just know things. 😂

My husband can reliably tell me the time within 3-5 minutes of the actual time any time I ask. It’s really amazing tbh.

I'm not that accurate but if I wake up in the morning or lose track of time, I am able yo guess the time within 20 minutes. i feel like this was a learned skill, because ND me younger didn't seem to have this super power.

Mine is useless. If I look down and there is a four leaf clover in a patch of clovers, I will see it immediately. Just collected 23 on my dog walks in different neighborhoods last week. I rarely pick them as an adult, but last week was rough and I decided to go for it. Literal pattern recognition.

yes, I often walk back into the kitchen seconds before the timer goes off. or put the pizza in seconds before the oven is done preheating

I wake up within one or two minutes of 6:30 every morning. I used to ask myself to wake up at a different time and it always worked. (I set an alarm just in case and never needed it.) Last night I woke up to pee and didn't know how long I had been asleep, but according to light levels and unconscious noise levels (no birds, less traffic) I guessed it was 10:30pm. It was 10:32. However I can misplace 6 hours if I'm reading a good book. And I rarely know what month or year it is without careful thought. I do know the exact location of every item in my house, though.

I do this while cooking but I've always attributed it to knowing how things should smell when they're ready.

I've always called it my internal clock! Have never used an alarm clock. Over the years it's like a game knowing the time without looking.

Because I hate a sound waking me up suddenly, I have consistently woke up before my alarm. Like, it's a rarity for my alarm to actually wake me up.

My environment is always tidy, but not overly organized- Cupboards have what fits easily and used-often items in the front, but not categorized. Paperwork is in a neat pile in a drawer, but not in order. My dresser drawers are wadded up clothes (except for the ones that wrinkle, those get folded). Everything not currently being used is put away. Almost immediately. With small exceptions: Teeth flossers are kept in the 3 locations where I eat...

For years I would wake up 2-3 minutes before my alarm went off. It was really annoying because I felt I was being robbed of extra sleep time.

I am Gen X and definitely had anxiety driven motivation to fixate on time. I felt like such a loser so many times for being late or spacing out. I’ve really had to work as an adult to chill and cultivate my “no worries” personality.

My neurodivergence superpower is this deep, internal relationship compass. It’s a gut feeling that alerts me when a relationship is shifting, even if there’s no obvious sign. My brain, shaped by my trauma, picks up on subtle emotional cues—tiny shifts in attention or care—and even without proof, it’s been right every time. This superpower, shaped by my trauma, has led me to recognize when a friendship or romance has quietly passed a point of no return. And, as hard as it is, it’s also led me to discover very hurtful and traumatic things in my life.

I can usually tell what time it is within a narrow margin of error. I assumed everyone could but my ND teen has zero concept of time. It’s interesting.
