I got dropped to another company at bootcamp because a DI from another platoon tried to take my Guidon during a company event. My senior told me when I became the platoon guide that no DI besides our platoon DIs and the company leadership were allowed to touch my guidon. I am a second degree black belt in Tae Kwon Do and I was a regional champion with a Bo staff. I did a super basic takedown using the guidon like a staff. He got up all pissed, came at me, and I dropped him again before the company guns ran over, grabbed him, and dragged him away. I ended up in the CO’s office and idk what happened to him. I got dropped and spent an extra 3 weeks on Parris Island. Honestly, it’s best to just let them win. I would’ve gotten yelled at and quarter decked at worst, but at least I would’ve graduated with my platoon.
