Sadia :
After dedicating myself to the NHS, I was dismissed following allegations relating to communication, punctuality, and professionalism. I later went through an appeal process, but the dismissal decision was still upheld.
Since then, I’ve struggled emotionally, financially, and professionally. Trying to rebuild my life and find another job has been incredibly difficult, especially knowing that this dismissal may affect references and future opportunities.
What hurts the most is that during all of this, I already had Occupational Health involvement, reasonable adjustments, and documented health conditions linked to work-related stress.
I truly believe many of the issues could have been resolved through support, communication, mediation, and understanding instead of escalation.
At the same time these allegations were raised, I had also raised my own Dignity at Work concerns.
This whole experience has deeply affected my confidence, mental wellbeing, and future. I stayed committed to my patients and my role throughout, and I was willing to undertake mediation, communication training, and support.
I’m sharing my story because workplace stress is real, and sometimes employees who are struggling need support — not escalation.
