Being a caregiver is tough, and watching someone make decisions you know are bad for them is even harder. Sometimes you have to let them go. You did your best. You gave everything for him when it mattered. That's all that matters in the end.

not trying to make this all about me but i haven't heard or talked to my brother in 10 years since he moved out of California.. no text no phone calls nothing until last year he texted showing he's having fun thought i would have conversation with him but no he didn't care about his little brother just himself as my mother says to me "reason why he doesn't respond to you because you're still talking to Matt (our DNA dad) and Patty (grandma)" 😒 it broken me that i lost important sibling i could run to whenever i felt low and hurt or need advise just painful that i carried the weight for my siblings when they're never there for me
