Sometimes it’s the jewelry. My nose didnt heal until I switched to a ring. Healed up in a couple days. Been 20 years.

best advice i got from my septum piercer was “keep it flipped and leave it alone.” did that for 9 months w a retainer in, healed perfectly, switched out the piercing and it’s been fine for 6 years!! yes no one knew i got it done for 9 months, but i didn’t have to deal with cleaning it or it getting infected. idk if thats standard but it worked for me 🥰

mines are fully healed but once every few years it randomly gets irritated so I just put back the long bars for a couple days and then it's back to normal
