@mr_neigong2: Qi so strong you can light stuff on fire… What’s the point? There are many uses, here are just a few: Healing Boosting neigong practice Self-defense Testing your gongfu Healing: There are many ways advanced qi skills such as qi emission (fagong 发功) can be used for healing. A master can emit qi into a patient’s body to diagnose blockages in meridians and sometimes clear those blockages with qi emission alone. It also serves as a very direct remedy for qi and/or yang deficiency. Qi emission can also directly impact a number of pathologies. Emitting qi into herbs can enhance their effects. Boosting neigong practice: Those who practice neigong/qigong know that it can be a long and challenging journey. Sometimes progress is slow, challenges arise. Masters at advanced levels of development can perform all sorts of energetic enhancements through qi emission: boost and expand the dantian, open the third eye, open the microcosmic orbit and other meridians. Self-defense: The advanced manipulation of qi can allow a martial artist to move qi to any part of their body to make it impervious and strong enough to break hard objects. Other techniques such as dianxue (dim mak) are enhanced as well. Testing your gongfu: Last but not least, for us mere mortals who are just trying to achieve a basic level of gongfu with things like qi emission, the chance to be able to perform this skill for the first time (typically with the assistance of having acupoints opened and/or boosting with herbs) can be a life changing experience as now we have proved to ourselves that these skills are 100% real and practice can really have such a dramatic effect. Being able to emit qi as a strong electric-like current is the first objective proof of real gongfu in some neigong lineages. #neigong #qigong #energyhealing
