@mets_fam_9: Major respect to Officer Hammond from Titusville PD. 🫡⚾️ What looked like a simple picture to most people was actually a moment my son will remember forever. Augustus walked up nervous but excited to hand over one of his baseball cards. Officer Hammond didn’t brush him off, rush him, or make him feel small. He smiled, talked with him like he mattered, and when he heard Augustus has ADHD, he immediately connected with him person to person. He told my son: “I have ADHD too. Don’t ever let anything stop your dreams.” That right there? That’s leadership. That’s community. That’s the kind of officer kids look up to. You never know what a few minutes of kindness can do for a child’s confidence. Tonight my son walked away feeling seen, respected, and believing in himself even more.
