Is the fear of losing your friends holding you back? 👀💜 Sometimes, the hardest part of staying sober is witnessing some of your friends begin to fade away. It's a painful process, but it's also incredibly enlightening. 🔥 When you begin a {sober} life in your 40s like I did, this can be scary, as well as an empowering transformation. I actually didn’t find a group of local sober friends until I was already 2 years sober & feeling very alone in my journey makinf me more vulnerable to giving into my cravings. ☠️The sooner you find your people, the more sustainable your sobriety will be! The awesome part is you'll find friends who support your journey, lift you up, and celebrate your sobriety milestones with you. 🙌These friendships are based on genuine love & support for each other’s journey. It's a beautiful thing to surround yourself with people who truly care. Remember, you deserve to be happy and healthy, and you will find your people because you are shining your true light, alcohol-free.🫶🏼💯 💁‍♀️Here are My 3 Tips: ✨Embrace Self-Discovery: Use this time to rediscover your passions and interests. Engaging in activities that you love will not only keep you occupied but will also help you meet new people who share similar values and goals. 🥰 ✨Find Support: Join sober communities online or in-person to connect with others who understand your journey. 🤘Go to Facebook & type in your city followed by ‘sober women’ ~ that’s how I found my local group! Surrounding yourself with like-minded individuals can make the transition easier and more fulfilling. ✨Practice Compassion and Gratitude: Understand that not everyone will be able to join you on this path, and that's okay. Practice compassion towards those friendships that have ended, and focus on being grateful for the new, positive relationships you are building. 💜This mindset shift can help you heal and move forward. Losing friends is never easy but I hope these tips helped. The longer you stay sober, the more you will see that being yourself is OK. 🔥You don’t need alcohol to have fun & finding the right people will encourage you to stay on track! Sobriety helps you be your true, genuine self, and that authenticity will attract your tribe. 🦄🌈 ✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨ I would love it if you liked & shared this with your friends!! 💁‍♀️ & if you’re not following me yet, please do! 🙌 If you want more support, positivity, mindset tips, & insight into how I stayed sober the past few years, please join my FREE FB group, Rise & Thrive!
