Captain :

State officials are required to provide name if requested, however the same does not apply for the security officer bcz he's privately employed. Not obligated to give information as a state official does.

Captain :

The security officer identifying himself to u as the security officer is the most u will get at times. (He is not obligated to give his company ID#, that's for company use only.) Furthermore, his assigned location is his jurisdiction....which means police is secondary after the security has accessed the situation. He also av the responsibility to enforce roles and regulations of the establishment and safety of employees and visitors/customers within his company's SOP.

As a Brit I find it crazy how quickly your cops are trained and given guns, here its 2 years minimum training without a gun 5+ for armed response units. Never mind giving security guards guns!
