I totally agree with you.. Shampoos are meant to strip and that’s why I don’t understand pre poo conditioners that are me at to put moisture in before washing😒

I don’t know cause when I use a clarifying shampoo my hair feels super dry, which is what I want, but when I go on with the moisturizing shampoo after, my hair feels super soft afterwards so…… if I don’t use both my hair never comes out correct

Thank you..you only use clarifying shampoo when it’s full of build up if it’s not that much moisturizing shampoo is fine. But you don’t need to use them at the same time

Clarifying shampoos are not for color treated hair that is where sulfate free shampoo comes in or else it strips your color especially if you use semi permanent hair dye .

I dont do 2 shampoos in one washday. I have one hydration for weekly maintenance and then the last wash day of the month I use a clarifying shampoo.

This. Some shampoos are more stripping than others but the job is to strip your hair of build up. People complicate it! I have a routine that last me 2 hours weekly INCLUDING blow dry and straightening😒

I don't want to be a 'back in the day' person but I do have to say that back in the day we did not use 7265 shampoos, conditioners, masks, prewashes, afterwashes, 7265 oils, protectants...etc and everyone's hair was just fine....this is all consumerism and it's actually ruining our hair making us dependent on certain products, so we just keep buying and buying....Leave your hair alone. It is going to be fine.
