Jennie was kneeling among the white flowers, lost in thought. Her fingers grazed the petals gently, as if she were afraid of breaking something so fragile. The wind stirred her hair, and the sun was already painting the sky a soft pink. For a moment, she allowed herself simply to look—to look and think of nothing else. She didn't hear the footsteps. She only felt a warm presence behind her—one so familiar that her heart leapt before she even turned around. A low voice, barely a whisper, came from right behind her ear:
Jennie was kneeling among the white flowers, lost in thought. Her fingers grazed the petals gently, as if she were afraid of breaking something so fragile. The wind stirred her hair, and the sun was already painting the sky a soft pink. For a moment, she allowed herself simply to look—to look and think of nothing else. She didn't hear the footsteps. She only felt a warm presence behind her—one so familiar that her heart leapt before she even turned around. A low voice, barely a whisper, came from right behind her ear: "I’ll be your angel." Jennie froze. She slowly turned her face and met Lisa’s eyes—so close she could almost count her eyelashes. White wings spread out behind Lisa, shimmering in the evening light. "My angel?" she asked in a faint voice, as if she still dared not believe it. Lisa offered a small smile. She knelt beside her, close enough that their knees brushed against each other amidst the flowers. "Yes," she replied. "Because every time you get lost, I find you. Every time the world becomes too heavy, I stay. Because even if you sometimes feel alone... you never are. Not as long as I exist." Jennie felt something break open inside her—not from sadness, but from something far more deeply moving. A tear escaped, yet she smiled at the same time. She took Lisa’s hand amidst the flowers and squeezed it tight, as if afraid the moment might vanish. "Then never leave," she murmured. Lisa brushed her thumb gently over the back of Jennie’s hand. "I don't intend to." Lisa leaned her forehead against Jennie’s, barely touching. The wind stirred the wings softly, as if it, too, wanted to embrace her. And in that moment, surrounded by white flowers and beneath a sky turning pink, Jennie understood that it didn't matter what came next. As long as Lisa was by her side, the world would always hold a safe place to return to. #jenlisa_story #glstory #jenlisa #wattpadstories #oneshot ©️Photo: “onlyjenlisaaaa” @Lynn
