@bill29518: Echoes of D-Day Standing before the real WWII bunker at Pointe du Hoc — one of the most historic battle locations of D-Day, 1944. These concrete bunkers were part of Nazi Germany’s Atlantic Wall defenses overlooking the cliffs of Normandy. Even today, the scars of war remain visible in the shattered concrete, bomb craters, and silent coastline. A place where history, sacrifice, and remembrance still live through the ruins. #DDay #WW2 #Normandy #PointeDuHoc #WorldWar2
Rangers did the impossible getting up those cliffs and holding the location for a couple of days.
