I'm not a mechanic, I know literally nothing about cars, I don't even drive. But when you're working under a hood, surely there's something you put in to hold it up, no?

Great example of why car manufacturers should have never gotten red of the rod that holds up the hood rather than using hydraulics or springs

The car owner took her car to the mechanic to have it checked. It’s the mechanic’s responsibility for making sure it is a safe environment for him to do work on the car. Rocking the car with the hood up without propping up the hood properly is a recipe for disaster

First off this would be the mechanics fault because if he actually paid attention in school. Those hydraulic rams are sketchy anyways why did he not have a prop rod before shaking the car by the inside of the fender exposing his hands to the hood slamming down on his hands. If this would have been me I would have grabbed the strut tower because it's an audi struts all away around.

Nope, anyone that has been around a car when the hood is up knows or is told secure the hood before you place anything near the engine to prevent anyone being hurt.

he sued her because after she lifted the hood and it slipped from her hands cutting his fingers so he said that if she didn't lift up the hood then he would be ok
