I understand that not everybody likes DT and don’t get me wrong I dislike it as much as everybody else. But for me, it’s constructive if you’re going to start a new era for Final Fantasy 14 why in the world would you shove a new character in our face who doesn’t feel like they’re developing as an actual character and just feels like they’re being rushed out of the way. That and the character should not be shoved in the main character face every single time. There were tons of new characters in this expansion, but for the first half we were only really talking to Wuk Lamat.

dawntrail was good given its a restart. yea its slow in the beginning but they had to start somewhere. also most of the hate just boils down to the hate for wuk. Who is a young character that also had to start somewhere.

I've enjoyed every expac, my least favorite was Stormblood but I still thought it was good. For DT though it was good for what it was: it was supposed to be more lighthearted and a break for our WoL - something that was lower stakes and not like saving the world for a little bit. You gotta have slower parts to enjoy the faster, higher, dramatic ones. For those of us who've been playing for a long time it was a nice break and even Yoshi-P told us that its okay to take breaks from the game, take some time for ourselves and play other things.

My opinion doesn't matter but, I've enjoyed every expansion and lots of them get hated on more than others. But I'm looking forward to Evercold and where we are headed with the story 😊

Dawn trail suffered from the same thing. Stormblood did, which was too much going on at once. They tried to fit in so much story into so little of space, and it ended up making the entire thing a mess. the stories are good, The gameplay is great, but the way they did it screwed it over.
