I think the discovery is super cool. However, I struggle to understand the historicity of the find. If the original documents date back to the 6th century and reflect Paul's writing, and Paul lived in the 1st century, how is the gap of 5 centuries explained?

So it is a palimpsest. The old text is never completely erased. Sometimes with the eye but more often with modern technique and some specific compounds used at the time, it is possible to obtain an imaged of the original text.

It really is amazing isn’t it 😍💞 Imagine holding something written around 1,400 years ago… then centuries later people scraped it apart, reused it, and everyone assumed parts were gone forever — and now modern imaging can suddenly “see” hidden ink again like a ghost appearing through time 💞

So if these were the letter to Paul, the radio carbon dating of the 6th century would be an issue. Pretty big gap to reuse fragile material. Maybe wrong but seems there are some holes in this understanding

Look for Codex Coislinianus (the official name) instead of Codex H. the importance of the find shows researchers how early virgins were made in archived materials and how late archivists cataloged Paul's writings.
