Wait, so you guys probably got paid for this promo, but you want us to tag our favorite creators to the dove page, where they will have to make a video for free, and then one creator will be selected to create a new promo video which they will then get paid? What?🤣🤣🤣 so Dove gets all this free publicity for free and chose one creator whom they will pay for a new campaign? Isn't that a bit much? Why cant we tage our favorite creator and the new creator with the most likes gets the gig, unlike having them compete for a gig by actually doing the work for free?

I'm a fan of nano creators and I'm actually building a platform specifically for this but what I don't like is that you essentially making creators market you for free simply because they are small , let's say 100 creators do this , that's so much traction and maybe one gets picked? I don't know the only winner in this kind of competition is the brand

South Africa has so many talented creatives and influencers but the industry keeps recycling the same inner circle. There are too many gatekeepers and too many opportunities passed around between friends while fresh talent gets overlooked. And another thing not every story has to come from a poverty angle to feel “authentic.” Some of us just want to create, inspire, dress well, travel, tell beautiful stories and exist beyond survival narratives. The industry needs new faces, new perspectives and fair opportunities.

I don’t necessarily think we need new faces. Of course there’s always space for new faces and I’d encourage anyone to enter this particular creator search. On the flip side, we need the industry to be a bit more regulated. In addition to that, brands need to include creators as early as ideation and creating briefs, give more creative freedom and nurture the talent that’s already there❤️
