Does the generator somehow synchronise with the power that had been lost? What about when it’s time to cut back to the primary power? Surely the generator would need to be synced otherwise you’d have voltage potentials.

The moment you see "life saving" or LS on an ATS or any type of switch, you just know that 30s ain't gonna cut it. I work in alot of hospitals and they are required to be on gen in under 8s. Thank God for UPSs haha

Cool stuff. I’ve always been impressed with the generators for data centers that have a motor always spinning in-phase, so on a power dip they instantly failover without any power loss until the deisel cranks up 👌
