In my opinion, mentioning you were searching to do an appointment but couldnt and then offering your website adds distrust from their side. I think you dont need to "lie" (no offense intended). strategy and product seems good enough. People dont like the feeling of getting played. Creates rivalry also. (You wont fool me!)
