I have this SQ in white. I keep mine on heavy duty and deep fill for every load. Unless I’m doing blankets/sheets. My whites I use hot water heavy duty deep fill with pre soak and extra rinse. I use Tide Powder with Oxy. Nothing else. Our clothes are always bright and clean! Rarely have to pre treat stains. With the Junk Maytag we had.. clothes and towels always smelled strange and the we had to fix the suspension rods 3 times in 2 years!

In general small water rises are better to get everything out. A principle we use in organic chemistry like one big solvent extraction might get 80% (tub full of water) 3 or more smaller extraction (spraying the water in your case) that equate to the same volume many time less than will push it up to 90% or higher. Honestly speaking doing it that way is the most efficient way to get to all the detergent residue and it keeps the machine clean

Use the “Heavy Duty” option on OPTIONS and it will allow you to use hot water with a tub of rinse water vs the spray!
