آخر سب کچھ وقت کی دھول میں ہی تو بکھر جانا ہے۔ جو آج اپنے حسن، طاقت، حیثیت، دولت یا شہرت پر ناز کرتے ہیں، وقت انہیں بھی خاموش کر دیتا ہے۔ کیونکہ زندگی کا اصول یہی ہے کہ یہاں کچھ بھی ہمیشہ باقی نہیں رہتا۔ انسان کبھی اپنے عروج پر خود کو ناقابلِ شکست سمجھنے لگتا ہے، اور کبھی زوال میں یوں ٹوٹ جاتا ہے جیسے سب کچھ ختم ہوگیا ہو۔ مگر حقیقت یہ ہے کہ نہ عروج ہمیشہ رہتا ہے، نہ زوال۔ موسم بدلتے ہیں، لوگ بدلتے ہیں، حالات بدلتے ہیں… اور وقت ہر غرور کو مٹی میں ملا دیتا ہے۔ جو درخت جڑ سے اکھڑ جائے، اسے خزاں کا کیا غم؟ جو انسان اندر سے ٹوٹ جائے، اسے زمانے کے رویّوں، لوگوں کی بے وفائیوں یا بدلتے موسموں سے کیا شکوہ؟ کیونکہ کچھ زخم ایسے ہوتے ہیں جو انسان کو اتنا خاموش کر دیتے ہیں کہ پھر دکھ بھی اپنا اثر کھو دیتا ہے۔ بعض لوگ زندگی میں اتنا کچھ ہار دیتے ہیں کہ پھر جیت کی خواہش بھی مدھم پڑ جاتی ہے۔ کچھ لوگ اتنے دھوکے سہہ لیتے ہیں کہ پھر کسی کے بدل جانے پر حیرانی نہیں ہوتی۔ اور کچھ دل ایسے ویران ہوجاتے ہیں کہ خوشیوں کی دستک بھی اجنبی لگنے لگتی ہے۔ اس لیے شاید زندگی ہمیں یہی سکھاتی ہے کہ نہ اپنے عروج پر تکبر کرو، نہ زوال میں خود کو ختم سمجھو۔ کیونکہ اصل طاقت اس میں نہیں کہ تم کتنی بار جیتے، بلکہ اس میں ہے کہ تم کتنی بار ٹوٹ کر بھی خود کو سنبھال سکے۔ آخر میں سب کچھ فانی ہے… نام، مقام، حسن، دولت، تعلقات… اگر کچھ باقی رہتا ہے تو وہ انسان کا ظرف، اس کا کردار اور اس کے دیے ہوئے زخم یا محبتیں۔
