@noahgoinscomics: #sanfordgreene This one was extremely challenging to write for some reason. I wasn’t sure which parts of his style to highlight the most, or give an overall idea of just how much he does between comics, and commercial illustration without leaving anything out that I thought was really cool. I had no idea he did work for Marvel Adventures spider-man, and it’s always exciting when I cover an artist who’s work I saw as a child and had no idea until now, that’s always a fun connection. Bitter Root itself is a sweet intro to the artist and gives you all you’re looking for in a steampunk title set in the 20’s. Sanford’s style actually reminds me a lot of James Harren, especially when it comes to their inking style. Sanford is definitely one of one tho, and speaks a language not all artists can speak.
