My kids survived on “milkshakes” her entire year and a half of chemo. They were scoops of ice cream and Pediasure. Sugar was a food group🤣

i used to work on a pediatrics unit. It could be two am and we would take kiddos to the cafeteria to get cookies, ice cream, potato chips because it didn't matter the time, they wanted food they got it!

Chemo & radiation do so many different things to the body & every patients body reacts different. But the one thing that almost everyone goes through is appetite/taste bud changes. It's a lot more difficult for children because they can be a bit more picky in normal life & chemo makes it even harder. Sweet & sour things seem to be the biggest winners when it comes to getting them to eat. So the parents & care teams will do anything they can to find the things childern can keep down, make them happy & to put a little something in their stomach. This helps lift their spirits, with their energy & to coat their stomachs for all of the other meds they have to take. Sometimes nutritional value doesn't matter as much.

good , neglect is real. if a child is on chemo, when ever we can get in works. and it's a 90% survival Raat with chemo.

I had to block her cause I couldn’t be kind. lol she’s a fucking moron and I’m afraid for all of her kids. Geez if I was that kid and learned my mom tired to get doctors to not save my life then I would probably not talk to her after I became an adult period. I don’t tolerate people who ignore medical advice.
