I lit had a hyper fixation on autism once (I don’t anymore luckily) and it was all I can think about and I needed to ask my parents repeatedly about autism and autism symptoms and if I might have it 😭😭 I sometimes couldn’t even sleep bc it was all I can think of and needed to google something about it and know more about it 😭😭 (I have adhd where you can also have hyper fixation)

So I have severe adhd but suspect autism as well. So I do a lot of research but then I get bored and then I forget most of it. Then one day I remember and start fixating on it again. It's a cycle. 😩

"what no! I don't have a special interest!" (I rewatched the anime, memorized the diologue, bought the manga, think about it consistently for years at least a few times every week, talk about it to everyone, it's also my main motivation for my hobbies, I heavily relate to the main character, I read it to regulate myself and I also get very excited even thinking about it to the point of not being able to breathe and I genuinely watch every bit of content about it and I've been this same exact way for years.)

Researched Autism and how it can present differently for almost 5 years when my pediatrician mentioned it at my daughters 1 year check-up. She was diagnosed at age 6, and I was diagnosed a couple months later 🫶🏻
