Tenet is Nolan’s worst habits x10. He so focused on creating a complex structure that he forgets to make a compelling film. And as the viewer, I’m too busy wondering who these people are and why I should care to even begin caring about if the whole inertia thing makes sense. Everyone is so flat, the dialogue is bland and the emotional stakes are nonexistent.

The square should have been the poster. I knew nothing about the square and still I "got" the movie's concept with the forward then reversed "pincher" move. Branaugh doesn't get enough credit for playing against his usual high-brow Brit type. He is scary and internally very angry. It's a great performance.
