@audreygracefreeman: Replying to @Dana 🌹 Sunday, I was just driving to get coffee. A route I normally wouldn’t have even taken. But God had other plans. Halfway across that long bridge, I saw him lying there. Defeated. Exhausted. Completely shut down. I honestly thought he was gone until I called out to him and he slowly raised his head. When I got closer, he was terrified… shaking and peeing everywhere from fear. But even after whatever humans had done to him, he never once growled or tried to hurt me. He just looked at me like he had already accepted nobody was coming for him. But somebody did. The scared little dog lying on that bridge is now safe, loved, and officially has an adopter waiting for him. Watching him get his first zoomies, seeing his smile, and then watching him ride off to meet his new person… that’s the part people don’t always get to see after the heartbreak. He will be fully vetted, neutered, and up to date on all vaccines before starting this new chapter of his life. Just days ago he was lying on a bridge ready to give up. Today he has a future.
