Told a patient that his BP was high and explained how it can happen and to reduce “stressors”… he then told me it’s because he’s a neurosurgeon and was stressed about an upcoming procedure and I was like 😐 oh! 😅

I explained chronic venous insufficiency to a retired vascular surgeon. When I was done and he told me, I said “why didn’t you stop me?!” And he said “you just looked so excited I didn’t want to dim that”. I appreciate big guy that but this could have been a ten min appointment and not an hour long one. Hurt my feelings next time pleassse.

I let urgent care explain to me why since my sore throat was strep neg (and likely viral) no antibiotic would help. im an epidemiologist and specifically I work in a healthcare associated infections and antimicrobial resistance program 😭😂 but I was low key proud of them for not giving antibiotics 😂

Biggest pet peeve is when people don’t explain things to me because I’m a doctor. Hi ma’am I am an orthopedic surgeon. I fix bone, do surgery, ugh.
