This is exactly how I’ve been all my life, I’m 58. I care for others more than myself, it’s always get selfish to put me 1st. My MIL past 1 1/2yrs ago, from dementia, I spent a lot of time caregiving for her. We were VERY close, she wasn’t just my MIL she was by bff. Since she’s past, all my kids are grown adults and now I have no one to care for and I’m completely lost!!! My autoimmune diseases are flaring up, my hormones are not optimized and I know it’s because I’m living in survival mode since she past. Currently, I can’t stop asking myself “is this all worth it”? At my age, my mind tells me I should have my shit together and yet I’m struggling horribly.
