I liked Covenant, but an origin for the Xeno and the Derelict ship was silly and unnecessary. The mystery of the first film was part of what makes it great. The Xeno being a cosmic nightmare from the depths of space was all we needed to know.

Agree with you about these 2 films, I really liked them even though I usually think that prequel origin explainers are unnecessary. I like mystery and not knowing everything. So I think sometimes we get a film that's great and leaves us asking questions, and maybe we don't need to know more 🙏🙏

alien is indeed a legendary movie, ive watched them and still want to watch them all over again. and recently found another movie w diff genre than that its called leave the world behind, really cant wait to see the sequel.
