@art_dailydose: In the Spanish town of Alhaurín de la Torre near Málaga, a group of local women transformed an ordinary shopping street into a massive piece of textile art. Led by crochet teacher Eva Pacheco, the project began in 2019 after the municipality searched for a more sustainable alternative to plastic sunshades. Using recycled fabric and leftover yarn, the group hand-stitched hundreds of colorful crochet panels that now stretch across Calle Málaga, creating nearly 500 square meters of shade. What started as a community craft project gradually evolved into a striking public installation.
