somedayflyaway :
I knew I was different. I knew something was very different from a very young age, starting around 5-7. I couldn’t figure out what it was. I didn’t think I was an alien, but I knew I was different. I knew I didn’t belong. I couldn’t figure out what it was. It drove me crazy. I wished for so many things. In school ages I wished I was this girl or that girl. I wished I was taller, athletic, funnier, normal, invisible, or that I could travel to another dimension, or travel back in time to cavemen times bc there wouldn’t be school cliques or hierarchy. As I got older, I mean adult like late 30s I compared it to software it’s like everyone else had came with pre-installed social software and I just didn’t get it. I asked good friends in my 30s what is it, please tell me what’s diff I know u see it. I’m not gonna yell at u, & I wouldn’t have. I’d say I’m asking u as a friend to be a friend, and tell me what’s diff/wrong w me. ADHD at 36, but audhd 42 yrs old. Now it makes sense. I know that was long, but knowing other kids really felt this way, like I mean on that level, it makes me feel validated like I wasn’t crazy.
