My mother announced when I was pregnant, due date , the gender AND THE NAME! :) before I did I will not be sharing/ calling anyone till we publicly announce and post pictures of the baby.

My mother in law (who was separated from my father in law) told him that we were pregnant before we could. I was so mad. She said “just tell him when your pregnant with the next one” he died last year.

Told my MIL and asked her to keep it a secret until we could make an announcement at a family gathering THAT WEEKEND (3 days). Her response was “I can’t keep a secret that long”. The very next day, everyone knew. 🙄 At least I got to surprise my side of the family.

Told MIL it was a secret. Few days later my sister knew about it. MIL took my chance of telling my sister I was pregnant.. My feelings towards MIL have been going downhill since then. It’s like I’m seeing the ”real” her now.
