the thing is with electric cars, it doesn't matter if the engine is on or off, the AC is driven by the battery either way. in fuel driven cars, the engine needs to be on for the AC to work.

Also should add that it shows on the Tesla app by the owner, a video of the inside of the car and outside so you will have been filmed by the owner of the car!!
