The reason why time feels like it moves faster after 30 is because we have a lot less core events than we did in the first thirty years. As you get older, you don’t look forward to key events in the same way as you did when you were younger. For example between the ages of 1-21, birthdays are a massive deal - you look forward to your own and your friends but there’s also so many milestones such as 11 (starting high school), 13 (becoming a teen), 16 (leaving school), 18 (becoming an adult) and 21 (becoming an older adult). Not only that but there’s experiences such as learning to drive, obtaining independence via your own place, maybe getting married and/or having kids. After 30 they dry up to the point where your key milestones are either a major birthday every ten years or life affirming events that’s aren’t positive such as people passing away, suffering from illnesses etc. I don’t that life ends after 30 at all but time seems to pass a lot faster.

id never want to relive my 20s they were hard years... im 38 now and its only been in the last 5yrs that ive really settled into my own body... im wiser im more confident... my 40s will be my eara... as kids are getting older so ill have more independence without kids...

yes I thought my 30s absolutely flew by too. Maybe it was because my children were babies and kept me busy! My 40s have slowed down a little.
