@truestorieswithkoko: Every Nigerian child has seen this face before… But very few know the tragic story behind it. 🇳🇬 Before Nigeria gained independence, Emmanuel Ifeajuna shocked the world by winning gold in 1954 and becoming a national symbol of pride. This is the story of the forgotten hero on every Nigerian exercise book. #EmmanuelIfeajuna #NigerianHistory #ForgottenHeroes #HistoryOfNigeria #AfricanHistory

@kingsley Obeng Hayford:@Anna Dorrel:up to today I still believe that Biafra was a product of Ojukwus self interest, greed and aspirations. ojukwu who was a major opposition in Gowon government because he refused accepting and respecting his junior in the military who became the head of state, and with the introduction of federal system of government which limited his powers as the head of the eastern region gave him another reason to start agitating for Biafra.... have you ever thought why he accepted that Nigeria should adopt confedral system of government after reconciliation was made in Ghana? that's probably because he wanted to remain in power but after the reconciliation failed he Lobbyed and deceived innocent igbos to join him in fighting for his interest, even in the cost of this fight he was a dictator, and authoritarian. wasted a lot of innocent souls okay! at last the igbos surrendered to Nigeria government and 3C's was established. ojukwu was later pardoned and he returned back to contest for a president in Nigeria ( why should he contest for a president in a country he's fighting against if not for his selfish interest) NOTE: I didn't dispute the fact that the igbos were manhandled and brutalized by the northern Nigeria due to the Nzeogwu's first military coup that took lot of their elite, but ojuwku placed his interest first which is why they couldn't achieve the state of Biafra. as far as I'm concerned Nnamdi Kanu is the only genuine hero who put the people's interest before he's and has clear intentions for Biafra. he's selfless and fearless and I pray Biafra comes to reality in this our generation.

As you said, his involvement in Nigeria's first Military Coup marred his sporting achievements for Nigeria. That part of history was erased.
