Born on 24 May 1896 in the village of Sarabha, Ludhiana, Punjab, he showed remarkable courage and patriotism from a young age. While studying in the United States, he became involved with the Ghadar Movement, an organization dedicated to ending British rule in India. Kartar Singh played a crucial role in spreading revolutionary ideas among Indians living abroad and worked tirelessly to inspire people to fight for freedom. He helped publish and distribute the Ghadar newspaper, which encouraged Indians to rise against colonial oppression. Despite his young age, he became one of the most active members of the movement and returned to India to help organize an armed uprising against the British Empire. In 1915, the British authorities uncovered the revolutionary plans and arrested many members of the movement. Kartar Singh Sarabha was captured, tried, and sentenced to death. On 16 November 1915, he was executed at Lahore Central Jail. He was only 19 years old. His bravery, sacrifice, and unwavering commitment to India’s freedom deeply inspired future revolutionaries, especially Bhagat Singh, who regarded Kartar Singh Sarabha as his hero and mentor. Even today, Sarabha is remembered as a symbol of courage, patriotism, and selfless sacrifice. His story continues to inspire generations to stand for justice, freedom, and the love of their nation. “He was just 19 years old when he was executed, but his legacy lives forever.” DISCLAIMER: This video is created for educational and historical purposes only.
