@alicebleathman_: Motherhood is the strangest contrast I’ve ever experienced. It’s the best thing that’s ever happened to me… and also the hardest thing I’ve ever done.Some days I feel like I’m absolutely thriving. I’m patient, present, soaking it all in, making memories I know I’ll hold onto forever. Other days I wake up after barely sleeping, burst into tears before the day has even started, feel touched out, overwhelmed, guilty for everything, and wonder if I’m doing any of it “right.” Guilty when I work. Guilty when I rest. Guilty when I lose patience. Guilty when I need space. And I think that’s the part of motherhood people struggle to explain, two completely opposite feelings can exist at the exact same time. You can be deeply grateful and deeply exhausted. You can love your child more than anything and still find motherhood incredibly hard some days. You can feel fulfilled and completely lost all in one day.I’ve never felt so emotionally stretched in my life… but I’ve also never felt a love this big either. And I wouldn’t trade any of this for the world 🌍 Xx

1000% Some days are so hard especially when you parent solo too everyday. There are days when you don’t even know how you got through it but know if it wasn’t for them you wouldn’t have. Your feelings are so valid. Motherhood is a blessing and you have got this 💕

it's the worst. but the best. you feel guilty when it's the worst, making it even harder. you're doing great, but you're in the trenches and you may not see that.
