The Sherman tank was simpler and more reliable and easier to fix and was practical. Tiger tanks were prone to mechanical failure and more complicated to use and produce.

It was meant to defeat infantry because that was US doctrine at the time. Tank killers, artillery, and air support were for enemy tanks. That is no longer US doctrine.

What people don't understand is the modern industrial factory complex design was literally designed and implemented first in America. the very concept of a factory assembly line was not implemented anywhere else first. all other countries had to use specialized texts and calipers in order to create, the American factory design traded in calipers for gauges and it changed the world forever
