Guys! We made it! A year! I didn’t know if i was actually going to post this, but i feel like its too important not to share. I’ve been out as a trans man for going on 6 years now and it’s been a slow go. I’ve lost relationships because i transitioned, i’ve been harrassed and bullied and shamed because of my transness . I was depressed for a very long time. Some days my dysphoria would get so bad all i could do was sit in my room and sob. All I wanted was for people to treat me the way they treated every other man in their lives. I didn’t want to be special, I wanted to be a teenage boy playing and hanging out with his friends. It took time, and it took effort, but I finally began to appreciate my identity and the life experiences it’s given me. It breaks my heart that there are trans kids out there who don’t win the battle, who cant survive the torment and the jabs and snide comments. It makes me furious that people who don’t know anything about being trans get to decide what should and should not be appropriate. We are dying, we are being killed off and at one point I thought i was going to be one of those percentages in the statistic, but i’m not. I love being trans. I love everything being trans has taught me about the world. I’m not a little kid anymore, and the fight isnt over yet. Live your life to the fullest. Dont let the weight of this unbearable world make you hate the very thing that makes you spectacular. Remember, we’re still here, we’re still alive, and we aren’t going anywhere.🏳️‍⚧️ #transrightsarehumanrights🏳️‍⚧️ #transgender #lgbtqia #thisismyvoiceontestosterone #protecttranskids
