@auroraricottiottmann: A Brit in an Italian pharmacy When you try to be polite at the pharmacy… and somehow the whole queue finds out you can’t poo. 💀 In English, there are different ways to talk about this depending on the situation: **I’m constipated.** = Sono stitica/o. **I’m having trouble going to the toilet.** = Ho difficoltà ad andare in bagno. **I haven’t opened my bowels.** = Non sono andata/o di corpo. Very British, quite medical… and apparently very confusing in an Italian pharmacy. 😂 **I’m finding it difficult to pass stools.** = Ho difficoltà a evacuare. Careful: **stool** can also mean **sgabello**. And no, **constipated** does NOT mean “raffreddato” in English. It means **stitico/a**. Save this for your next very awkward pharmacy visit. 💊 #learnenglish #learnitalian #englishinitaly #ingleseonline #inglesepertutti #britishenglish #englishvocabulary #italianenglish #falsefriends #imparareinglese #inglesevero #ingleseperitaliani
