@herbal.tt: So apparently building realistic healthy habits ia way better than relying on motivation. We should start building routines and consistently to become disciplined. #healthyhabits #habitstacking #wellnessroutine #wellnesstips #healthylifestyle
my problem is that i’ll do one push up and expect to see a result from it and then i don’t and give up

Stop drinking your calories is a good one. Especially the coffee with all the added syrup that no longer makes it coffee.💯

Pro tip: drink (caffeinated) tea or coffee before your walks, exercises, etc. and the days you feel unmotivated drink the tea/coffee and your mind will kick in to do the thing. Habit stacking primes you to become motivated! Green tea is top tier! And coffee too

Last year I started a walking plan. I set the alarm for 7 mins and walked as fast as I could for the 7 min then when the alarm went off I could turn around and go home at any pace. 9 months later and I’m walking an hour a day. Lost 25lbs. After about 2mo I started walking with 1 lbs weights now 5lbs

The first tip I started doing was not eating after 9pm. Within 30 days you’ll start to notice how your clothes fit. The second was paying attention to how many steps I was getting per day. If you are not getting 5k-7k per day, you’re not moving your body enough. Lastly make your food at home! No one is saying it gotta be made from scratch. Frozen food is fine!

After you get the cooking at home down, start one meal at a time choosing healthier ingredients to cook with, Either a lower fat ground beef, chicken or turkey for burger or tacos. Use spaghetti squash instead of spaghetti, etc.. I have found changing one meal at a time with healthier ingredients doesn’t feel so restricting, easy on the wallet as you change your pantry, fridge and freezer food. Focus on changing/increasing each of the tasks listed one at a time, get good at building that habit and then move to the next to increase. It’s a lifestyle change and that doesn’t happen overnight.

tip- start small. walking twice a week , then increase it . if you do x a week things will happen and youll stop . its best to slowly build it so you wont dread it lol. I switched from ice coffee to refresher mostly due to the crash coffee gives me by noon . its the little things ✨️good luck

The older I get the more I realize discipline is really just making healthy things easier for yourself 😂🫠 I spent YEARS chasing motivation while secretly feeling inflamed, emotionally drained, low energy, and stuck in all or nothing habits. Nothing ever lasted long term. Then someone in a wellbeing forum told me to read Eat Like a Woman Protocol written by Loren Green. Best thing I ever tried honestly—29 lbs gone, flatter stomach, balanced energy, and I finally stopped feeling like I was constantly starting over with my health. Love it)

Cooking at home made a big difference for me. Also start eating smaller portions. I started by leaving 1-2 bites that I would have usually ate. Eventually I got to a point that I was eating half what I used to.

As an overweight 46 on a movement journey, I think everything you mentioned is realistic except the 10 to 15 lb weights and 4 sets using that weight. I've been lifting for 4 years and that is a lot of weight to start out and do 4 sets each movement with that weight! 4 sets is fine. If you haven't used weights I would start body weight, then add either wrist or ankle weights or get like a 3lb or 5lb weight set. IMO it will be more attainable than starting with 10lb to 15lb and being too sore to do it again. I'm not an expert though. however you got this queen🥰🥰🥰🥰

I lost over 100lbs in a year naturally by getting 10k steps everyday and following Tim Ferriss's slow carb diet. Yes. It is absolutely that easy.
