That is not insane. F1 drivers are literally the pinnacle. A top F1 driver is eons ahead of any GT Driver. Plus a driving a GT car feels like slow motion compared to driving an F1.

So Verstappen's lap was around 4 seconds off from last year's fastest wet lap. Still very good for a few hours of driving and filming, but do not pretend Miyake is some bottom feeder driver when he got third overall in 2024. I love Max, but let's not slander a good relatively young GT500 driver when you don't know a single thing about the series

btw Atsushi Miyake is a factory driver for Nissan, so Fuji is his backyard, and he drives that car regularly. Max has never driven that car before or any other race car on that track.

its was raining and we all know the rain can change so much in 5 minutes the track can be 5 seconds slower or faster. they were not on track at the same time so wet times mean nouthing in that situation
