Police misconduct in the U.S. has cost taxpayers tens of billions of dollars since 2000 — and that’s only what’s been officially recorded. Major cities alone pay out hundreds of millions every few years for wrongful arrests, excessive force, and misconduct. The real cost is likely much higher, since many cases are never fully reported. And behind every dollar is a person whose rights were violated.

Police not knowing law or court rulings who’s shocked but due to them not being personally responsible they don’t care they sould have to carry their own liability insurance and any officer that violates rights should lose their certification
